CHRISTMAS!

Well, we made it to Christmas. I am at work all alone, except for Peanut. The snow and ice up here was amazing. It was bad enough we couldn't leave our neighborhood. We finally made it out today, only to go to work.

These days, I really hardly feel pregnant. No sickness, not really tired, pretty much feel great, except for a continuous headache. The clothes are still getting tight, and I am getting close to being exclusively in maternity clothes. We get to find out what "it" is on January 31st. I think I will be taking that day off, since I know of a few people that I am sure I will be on the phone with ALL day. Marcus has been the best. He is so patient and so curious. He so badly can't wait to see this baby. I am sure it is harder for him, since he just sits back and watch until it gets here. He will be an incredible dad. Well, we are looking forward to seeing my family the weekend of New Year's. We were in Jena with Marcus' family last weekend, it was so good to see all of them.

I hope everyone is having a good Christmas, and we wish we could see all of you. Take care.
We love you!

Jennifer

G-o-i-n-g t-o-o s-l-o-w...

Will we ever see this baby? Jennifer was at the 12 week mark 4 days ago and it only took a year (it seemed). I guess I am just a little impatient. Jennifer is not feeling sick anymore and can now eat eggs again. She is doing really good, and she is being very patient with me. (And yes, I am doing fine.) We have been looking for maternity clothes, but most department stores have a very limited supply. We have another doctor's appointment tomorrow and we are excited 'cause we get to hear the heartbeat. I can't believe that we are starting our own little family.

I am sitting here at work at 7:40AM trying to stay awake. We have been to 3 different Christmas parties in the past week and have one more tomorrow night. They have been fun though. We are kinda bumbed about having to work the Christmas weekend, but me and Jennifer are going to grill a couple of nice ribeyes and go driving around looking at Christmas lights. We are looking forward to spending time with our families during the holidays.

I will post again tomorrow and ya'll should be able to hear the heartbeat.

11 week update

Hello all!
We are now approaching the end of the first trimester. Everything is looking good. Our next DR appt is on the 13th and we will get to finally hear the heartbeat. The infamous "belly" is beginning to take shape as my clothes are getting tighter, actually some are not even working out anymore. I was always wishing to "show" but never expecting it to be this soon. I guess this baby is built like Marcus and needs some room. That's OK, it is kind of fun. I'm sure I will be singing another tune in about 4 months when I can't fit in my car anymore. The sickness definitely hit a couple of weeks ago. It seemed I couldn't keep anything down. That has finally subsided. No weight gain yet, I actually lost 12 pounds since my last DR appointment...I told you I was really sick. I am feeling better everyday. It is so amazing how you always imagine what it will be like, and it just doesn't work out at all like you expected. It has been tough, but wonderful. We still have a long way to go!

We just got back from church and it is raining cats and dogs here. Elvis is hiding out in his house. :( We are getting excited about Christmas. I haven't really got to spend an extended amount of time with my family in a while. I really miss everyone. Marcus' Christmas list gets longer and longer everyday. I have had to resort to Ebay to find some good deals, in order to get him more. Everyone asks what I want, but really there are only a few things. Gift cards are always good. Marcus is making lunch so I better go, but we will be back soon.

Love,
Jennifer

Peanut at 8 1/2 weeks.

We had our 1st OB appointment today. He says everything looks perfect. Peanut is now a fetus (Cletus the Fetus according to Dr Wendel). Looking at the picture you can see that he is only attached by the umbilical cord and he is hanging upside down. His head is toward the bottom left. The lines at the bottom of the picture is the heartbeat. It is at 164 bpm, which anything over 110 bpm is good. We got a VHS recording of the sonogram, and I have just ordered the hardware I need to put the recording on my computer. Then I will be able to post the video on here. When we are able to hear the heartbeat I will post it so all of you will be able to hear it too.

8 weeks pregnant!

Well, we are 1/5 of the way through, not that we are ready for it to be over. It is such an amazing experience. These days, I am not feeling all that great. The nausea starts in the morning and lasts continually until about 11:45AM. It seems like I never want to eat. Nothing sounds good. Oh well, this too shall pass.... right, Mom? We have another doctor's appointment on Monday. We can't wait to see "Peanut" again. Seeing that little flicker of light (the heartbeat) is the most heart warming experience. To know that that little life is just a beating away in there is so cool. To know that in a few 7 months, we will be holding that little miracle in our arms.

I just saw the pictures of my neices, Delaney and Maddy on Angie's web journal. Those girls bring a smile to my face and a pitter patter to my heart. I can't wait to see them again. They would inspire anyone to have kids...on a good day, right Ang?

Love to all,
Jennifer

Parents to be...

Hello all, and welcome to our webjournal. We wanted to use this to keep ya'll informed of our precious new gift. It is finally feeling real as Jennifer's morning sickness begins, and her appetite is changing. It becomes more real when we get a chance to see the proof through a sonogram. It is amazing for us to watch a life grow inside Jennifer's belly. We think that this baby is a gift from God and that He chose a perfect time for us to bring a lil' en into the world. It's funny how you can love something so much, and it isn't even born yet. Peanut is going to be a wonderful addition to our little family. We can't wait to see him/her around June 21st.

Here is Peanut at almost 7 weeks. Posted by Hello

The Doctor says that everything is looking good. We have our 1st doctor's appointment with the OBGYN on the 15th of November and we will keep you informed. Keep us in your prayers.
