One more thing...

The doctor said that we could come home Tuesday if everything goes well. Hannah is eating 2 ounces per feeding. She is now scrictly on breast milk which makes the job of pumping a little easier. She has began nursing once a day and when she comes home it will be more. The nurses have said that she is really doing good at latching on. You might have to click on the archived pages to see ALL of the pictures for May.

This was supposed to be her going home outfit, but it looks like it is going to be too small when she comes home. So I am posting this because she looks so adorable in it. Posted by Hello

Almost Home!

Well, Hannah will be coming home soon. Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I have been studying for a Linux+ certification test and with going to the hospital until late every night doesn't leave much time left. But soon we won't have to go to that hospital every night to see her. I am also posting some pictures that we have taken recently. Enjoy!

Welcome to the life of a preemie...

Well, just when we start to get excited about well Hannah is doing, she goes and has a little bit of blood in her urine. It is something called "hospitalitis". We don't think it is that bad, probably just a UTI. Well everything else it still going good. She should be off of her IV in a day or two unless her urine culture grows something bad. Well it is too late to be having to wake up at 5:30 am so I am going to bed. Pictures will follow this post. Price...out!

Almost there...

Well, some very exciting stuff has been happening recently. First, Hannah weighed 4 lbs 12.8 ozs last night. She no longer has the nose cannula in, and last night they took out the feeding tube. That's right, she is now getting get with a bottle, and I got to feed my baby for the 1st time last night. It was awesome. The only thing she still has is the IV. That will come out in a couple of days. When the IV comes out, she will be in a crib. We got an estimate from a couple of the nurses of 1 or 2 weeks before Hannah can come home; this is if everything keeps going good. No one could ever know how excited we are. I will post a picture of Hannah without all of the tubes tonight.

We want to give thanks to Jesus Christ for continuing to carry us through this.

So far...so good!

Hannah began her feedings again on Tuesday, and so far she has done great. She now has hardly any apnea spells. Her temp is doing good, and last night she weighed in at 4 lbs 4 ozs. We should be getting out of the isolette pretty soon and go to a big girl crib. When this move is made we will be able to go in and just pick her up without a nurse being there. And, this will be just one more step toward 54 Park Ridge Dr. We definitely can't wait for that. The car seat has been installed in the Trailblazer, the nursery is done, and the sheets are on the crib. We will be ready at a moments notice to bring her home. Please continue to pray for us and our precious little girl.

Love,
Marcus and Jennifer Price

The Good and the Bad...

This week is turning out to be quite a journey. Hannah is having a little trouble with her digestion. The doctor decided to NPO (Nothing Per Oral) her this week because she wasn't tolerating her feedings. Dr. Benton said that giving her gut a rest for 7 days should allow her to get the needed rest she needs to be able to start digesting her food.

All that aside, Hannah is looking better than ever. She now weighs 3 lbs 7 ozs, she is plump, pink, alert, and her apneas have decreased dramatically. She always seems to know when Mom and Dad are coming to visit because she is awake and waiting for us. So the combination the lack of apnea and resting her gut and the Lord, next week should be a whole lot better than this week. Just keep us in your prayers.
